Everyone has a worldview. In this episode, Wes discusses different types of worldviews, elements of a worldview, and what that means for our interactions.

A few questions to answer
1.     What are the distinctives of different worldviews?
2.     What are some elements of these worldviews?
3.     How can this help me in interactions?    
 
 
A.    Theism – God is distinct from creation, Islam, Judaism, and Christianity
B.    Pantheism – Creation is god, Buddhism and humanism
C.     Panentheism – All creation is god but god is more than just creation, Hinduism
 
 
1.     Authority
Protestant Christians – Sola Scriptura, God
Roman Catholicism – Scripture and Church/Tradition
Mormons and other Christian cults have additional “Scriptures” and additional earthly authorities
Humanism – man is the measure of all things (self-referential) 

2.     Axioms
Definition - a statement or proposition which is regarded as being established, accepted, or self-evidently true.

Examples for Christians
     i.     The Bible is true
     ii.     Christ is King
     iii.     Human beings are created in the image of God
     iv.     Absolute nature of moral truths

3.     Application
Sola Scriptura
All earthly authorities must rightly submit to Christ as ultimate authority
Human beings have intrinsic value and worth
Denial of moral relativism
